Rescue Troubled Projects
Once you recognize that a project is in trouble of meeting expectations...
...the HEAT IS ON TO STOP THE PAIN!
Not every project can be turned around, but turning to someone who has a proven track record of turning around troubled projects is priceless. Here are a few facts about IMC:
- Industrial Molding Corp. has successfully converted over 500 transfer tool projects since 2001, many of which were troubled projects.
- IMC utilizes 50 years of experience in resins, mold design, mold building, and processing to evaluate tools, diagnose the problem, and recommend solutions.
- IMC technical employees are able to conduct a meticulous analysis to assist in salvaging problem jobs. Currently our technical employees have an average of 16 years of service with IMC. We also utilize the skills of 12 Certified Lean Manufacturing Masters, 10 Certified 6Sigma Green Belts, and two Certified 6Sigma Black Belts.
IMC utilizes a five-step process for turning around problem jobs:
- Acknowledge: Accept the project for what it is and acknowledge it has failed. A troubled project has major problems; some problems can be too serious to overcome.
- Evaluate and Diagnose: Understanding what’s leading to the sub-par performance is essential to identifying opportunities to salvage the project.
- Recommend solutions: We provide a thorough evaluation of the project, and then provide a complete detail of the options we see available to our customers. It is also important that Expectations be reset for the project, if necessary.
- Implement: Once we identify potential alternatives, it is completely up to our customers to decide what measures will be taken.
- Re-Assess: Once the changes are implemented, a thorough follow-up is needed to confirm that all the changes had the desired effect on the project, and that it is now performing to expectations.
It would be our pleasure to assist you with a troubled project.
If transferring a tool becomes necessary, we have developed a detailed checklist for this process. Click Tool Transfer Considerations and Events for a copy of our checklist.
